The obvious truth about time

Time is a perishable commodity. Once it passes, you cannot get it back. This is an obvious truth.

So knowing this obvious truth, do we make the right choices when it comes to how we spend our time?

When one is dying, what is the thing that person wants most? More time? More time to do what should have been done?

This past week I have been fortunate enough to get a week off from work. This time should have been spent focusing 100% on my wife and family. Instead I focused mainly on web projects, with some time here and there interacting with my family.

That's not cool.

However, another obvious truth is: Life is about choices. I can choose to make today different than yesterday by choosing different actions. Different actions will end in a different results.

Reminding myself about these obvious truths, the last three days of my "vacation" will be spent focusing on my wife and kids.
